IND is one of the easier major airports. The $9 Economy Lot is the value play, but put its shuttle and the Ground Transportation Center walk inside your arrival plan.

Don’t stand at the wrong curb
Ride-app pickup and other prearranged transportation use the Ground Transportation Center on Level 1 of the Terminal Garage; follow the marked zone in the app.
Rental counters and vehicles are inside the Terminal Garage/Ground Transportation Center, connected to the terminal by a climate-controlled pedestrian bridge.
IND has one terminal with Concourses A and B connected after security through Civic Plaza; walking is the normal transfer method.
